Year 6 Excursion – Friday 22 June 2018
Excitement is building for the Year 6 Excursion to the Art Gallery of NSW. This visit is aimed at supporting Year Six’s learning in Creative Arts with a particular focus on the art of Sidney Nolan and other familiar Australian artists.
The theme chosen for the day is titled: An Australian Artistic Experience. This one hour session will be run by an art gallery guide and will examine artworks that are on display by artists that students have previously studied. Time will be also devoted to a free walk through the Gallery’s collection. Students will view artworks by other artists that have been studied during Semester One, including Pablo Picasso.
