Year 6 Primary School Leaders’ Afternoon Tea with Gladys Berejiklian MP

On Wednesday, we were invited to attend a tour of the State Parliament House with Gladys Berejiklian MP. We were shown the Upper House and the Lower House. It was very interesting to learn about how both Houses operated and how the opposition fought to get their cause through.

Gladys explained what her role as Premier of NSW is and her main responsibilities. During her talk, she answered many questions that students from other schools had asked her.

We were then presented with Certificates of Citizenship and Leadership, which were given by Gladys. This ended our tour, and following this we were taken to a common room to enjoy afternoon tea.

Overall we really enjoyed being invited for a tour of Parliament House, and have definitely learnt a lot from Wednesday.
