Fiver for a Farmer Day – Success over $1200 raised!

On Monday 13 August 2018, our SPN students dressed as a farmer in support of the “Fiver for a Farmer Day”. This day was initiated by one of our diocesan schools, St John the Baptist, Freshwater who adopted a proposal put forward by one of their students (Jack in Year 4) to dress as a farmer and donate to purchase bales of hay to help our drought stricken farmers. Jack was featured on Sunrise and was interviewed by a Canberra radio station where the challenge was set for Bill Shorten and Malcolm Turnbull to dress up as farmers on the first sitting day of parliament this month.

We congratulate all our SPN students and families who supported this much needed cause. We would also like to congratulate St John the Baptist school, especially Jack and our other schools throughout the diocese for all their efforts and funds raised.

Well Done!
