We were fortunate to have a perfect, sunny and mild winter’s day for our annual Athletics Carnival at Rotary Oval on Monday. Firstly, I would like to congratulate our children for the way they participated so enthusiastically and fairly during the day which contributed significantly to the great spirit at the carnival. Congratulations to those children whose outstanding performances qualified them to represent St Philip Neri at the cluster carnival in the coming weeks. Well done to our Sports Captains and school leaders who lead and managed their teams before and on the day of the carnival. Thank you to our parents and friends who supported the staff by undertaking the numerous roles needed to run the carnival: recorders, marshals, judges etc. Finally, I would like to thank Mrs Maryanne Kelly, Mr Joseph Younan and their team for organising such a special day and to all members of the staff for their support.
