HSIE is concerned with the study of people, their history, their varying cultures and environments. Particular attention is focused on our own country with its multicultural society.
HSIE is based on developing investigation, communication and social skills. The values in this subject tie in very closely with Religious Education and in many ways is the KLA where faith, life and culture come together. At St Philip Neri Catholic School we aim to encourage the development of children who act rationally, sensitively and responsibly in a rapidly changing world.
